Immortal Monkey

Objective

In this game your main objective is to destroy as many arrows as you can whilst also avoiding them. Destroying arrows will grant score. Being hit by an arrow makes you lose score.

"Hidden" features which may be hard to notice or confusing:

• If you destroy more than one arrow with a single swing of your staff, it will grant additional score. (Grants 2x each time so +10, + 20,  + 40)
• Using a double score powerup will also double the score of anything that adds on top of your total score (meaning that if you were hit by an arrow, you would still only lose the default amount and not double)
• Picking up staff powerups without having spawned a staff will have no effect.
• Picking up your staff before the staff powerups have expired will remove all existing  powerup effects
• If you press the "Esc" button inside the main menu (the first menu that appears), it will close the program. If you press "Esc" whilst ingame, the "Paused" menu will appear
• There are mute music buttons on the main and "Paused" menus.

Extra message

Sorry about the horrible music, I wanted to create the entire game from scratch including images used for animations and sounds, etc. I used Pygame to create the code for the game.
